I heard the funniest thing yesterday. I heard that a certain “comedian” that posed with a bloodied mock decapitated head of a certain president was being bullied by said president’s family. Hmmm, I found it funny that this “comedian” thought the whole episode was hysterical when said “comedian” did the video shoot. Yes, it was not only a photo, but a video. Said “comedian” joked that they (her and the photographer) thought they would have to maybe move to another country or could possibly go to jail for this. They still may have to move to another country, but jail is highly unlikely.

Now, I’m sure many of you know who I’m speaking of but I choose not to give this individual any more attention than they are already getting. Especially since this “comedian” has now retained council; for what purpose, I haven’t the tiniest clue, but to think that you can do stuff like this and that there would be no consequence for it is the epitome of privilege. Some of the consequences that have been faced to date are the loss of work for this “comedian”, intense backlash from many in the Hollywood crowd and some in the media and overall condemnation. How could these individuals have thought that this was ok is beyond me.

The first apology was almost a justification for this video. This individual stated “I am just now seeing the reaction of these images. I’m a comic. I crossed the line. I move the line, then I cross it. I went way too far. The image is too disturbing. I understand how it offends people. It wasn’t funny. I get it.” So it was after the “comedian” saw the reaction from almost everyone that they realized that it wasn’t funny and was too disturbing. It takes a special kind of depravity to think that something like that was funny to begin with, hence my continued used of “” when I attribute the word “comedian” to this individual.

Will this individual recover from this? Who knows and frankly who cares. There are consequences for your actions and your words, but only time will tell. The lesson in this, depicting the decapitation of anyone is not funny, period.

Do you want to discuss this further? Come see me at Goldwiser. I’m open Monday through Saturday 10 am to 7 pm and I’m located at 24910 Kuykendahl Rd., Tomball, TX 77373. And for the record, if you want to defend this behavior just skip the discussion all together. This is indefensible! But we can discuss so much more! Just ask for Gina.
