With the New Year’s arrival, the worries and troubles of the past still linger for many. Freeing yourself from the anchor of negativity is a life long struggle. One day at a time sounds so cliché and it is, but it is also the simplest way to reach your goals.

Goals

First of all, you have to be able to clearly define your goals and not to make them so lofty that you are unable to even put a dent into it. This does not mean to make your goals too easy either, rather break them down into achievable levels.

Lose Weight

Losing weight is difficult for many people and is also among the most common resolutions that people make and break each year.  Rather than saying that you are going to lose 50 pounds, why not break that down into easy to manage monthly totals. Wouldn’t 4-5 pounds a month be much easier to manage than the big number of 50? Of course it would!

Quit Smoking

Maybe you want to quit smoking. Now there are many different philosophies on how this can be achieved. Some people prefer to go cold turkey which would be my preferred choice. Some people prefer to use medications like patches to help them with the withdrawals that they may experience. Others choose other methods like e-cigarettes that will also manage the withdrawals.

However method you choose to help you achieve your goals, setting a clear pathway to success is vital to its success!
