We now have the presumptive nominee; Hillary Clinton for the democrats and Donald Trump for the republicans and by all reported accounts, this primary race is over. There’s just one little problem; Bernie Sanders is not giving up the ghost! Commentators are essentially telling him through their favorite media outlet, (patting him on the head) ‘Good job, but now you must go away. Drop out or you’ll just be causing more damage to the party. You’ve fought valiantly, but you lost and now it’s time for you coalesce around the party’s nominee.’

If you’re a Sanders supporter, this must infuriate you! For everything that you have done to propel Sanders to the heights he’s reached, it just wasn’t enough. Here’s the thing; Bernie Sanders stated: “I look forward to meeting with (Clinton) in the near future to see how we can work together to defeat Donald Trump and to create a government which represents all of us and not just the 1%”. While that may not be conceding his position, it’s implying that there could be some type of uniting between his voters and hers. A united front of sorts, but after all that’s been said and done, can that relationship be repaired that easily or have the voters, yet again, fallen for another lie from someone that merely wants power. This election cycle seems to have nothing but candidates that want only that.
